Halloween at Collins!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

This information outlines the schedule and procedures for our 2026 Halloween festivities. 

School Parade: We will have one parade for Halloween on Friday, October 30th at 2:00 pm. In the event of rain, the parade will be indoors for students and staff only. 

• At 2:00, our parade route will begin along the back of the school (by the gym).

• We will walk across the back fields, K-2 blacktop, along the sidewalk around Martin, through the staff lot, and back to the basketball court. (see map below)

• We are asking all parents to spread out along the entire route. 

• Students will take two laps around the building. 

• Students will then re-enter the building, and dismissal will continue as normal. Students will not be permitted to leave early since the parade is late in the day. 

• Any dismissal changes must be made in the Genesis Parent Portal by 1:00 p.m. on October 30, 2026.  You can even enter ahead of time so you don't forget.

Costumes: Please wear your costume to school on Friday, October 30th. Full face masks and weapons are not permitted during the school day. Students may wear a full face mask during the parade as long as they can see clearly and walk safely. Costumes should be appropriate for school and respectful of others.

Class Parties: All class parties will take place on Friday, October 30th. Class parents will be scheduling these with the class teachers and main office.  Food will not be served.

Parking for Parade: Please note that there is no parking in our staff lot.  Please park on the street.
